Three topics to cover this morning…
1) Soon I’ll begin TRUE blogging. Yes, Virginia, there is a real blog at PlanetJK. Once I work the kinks out of a mobile blogging solution I’ll be posting at least daily; love it or leave it. I haven’t stumbled across a solid answer to mobile blogging yet- Plogit’s too buggy and Mfop2 (May 2007: dead link removed) just plain didn’t work for me. I have a support request in to the author, so hopefully I’ll get it worked out- Mfop2 has a lot of potential.
2) My homebrew CSS just isn’t cutting it. I can’t wrap my head around the correct div floats and find myself just implementing hacks, then hacking the hacks. So I dimed out to the man and tracked down a tried-and-true CSS template.
3) I came across an old-school quote while unpacking tonight. This one goes out to Vice over at Vicesounds:
“The message is that there are no knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things we now know we don’t know. But there are also unknown knowns- things we do not know we don’t know.”
“So when we do the best we can and pull all this information together, and then we say, ‘Well, that’s basically what we see as the situation,’ that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.”
