Woohoo… I’m back online. Yes, I know it’s 0345 in the morning, but this time it’s not my fault. It’s Comcast’s fault- their handy ‘lil “Self Installation” brochure explicitly told me to perform Steps X, Y, and Z to install my new cable modem. When I got stumped and called Tech Support, they promptly informed me that everything would be just fine as long as I hadn’t performed Steps X, Y, and Z. Yeesh… Talk about a left-hand/ right-hand problem. I have Comcast for my home phone, cable tv, and high-speed internet; who wants to bet that my first two months of bills will be grossly misconfigured?
